Tru doesn't have any particularly noteworthy rhyming skills, and the music is predictable, yet their workmanlike gangsta rap makes for a worthwhile set for aficionados.
The brothers formed one of the hottest Hip Hop groups in the country and represented the city of New Orleans as they took over the Rap industry. Tru 2 Da Game is fairly standard hardcore gangsta rap, intercut with just a touch of deep, funky bass grooves. It was 21 years ago on February 18th of 1997 that Master P, C-Murder and Silkk the Shocker released the multi-platinum classic TRU 2 DA GAME album.
